June 30th Leap Second and Topcon GNSS Receivers

The International Earth Rotation and Reference System Service (IERS) in Paris, France observes the Earth's rotation and compares it to atomic time. As per IERS bulletin C 49, a positive leap second will be introduced on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 23h 59m 60s UTC time.

The previous event occurred on June 30, 2012 at 23:59:60 UTC.

Topcon GNSS network expands to Latin America

Topcon Positioning Group announces the expansion of its TopNETlive network service into nineteen states and five Canadian provinces, making it the fastest growing DGPS and RTK network service in North America.

The 24 states and provinces now included in the service are Alabama, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Wisconsin, Ontario, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Quebec.
